DP/ CAMERA OPERATOR: Starting out with the intention of "just being a better painter," Michael Foulkrod dove into the depths of portraiture and wound up capturing the creative identities of the modern, media-fueled generation: something he calls "The Bladerunner Era." Foulkrod challenges his skills and perspective constantly, enjoying the clarity that can be found while painting from life. He spends lengthy hours on the floor looking up at his subjects, a technique that gives his work the trademark monumental theatricality that has become his own version of reality television.
